Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American stage and screen actor best well-known for her films on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the popular television series The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer, who has been active in television and theater. Her first job was as a theatre actress but then proceeded to play in a variety of television series, including mainstream and independent films. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. The BET's huge series The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel.
