Sharon Yvonne Stone, born 10 March 1958 at Meadville (Pennsylvania), is born to Dorothy Lawson, a former factory worker, as well as Joseph William Stone, a maker of tools and dies. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her three siblings. Stone was considered to be an academically talented child when she began the second grades at five.
