Alison Krauss

The first wave of public recognition was for bluegrass singer Alison Krauss in 1990 when she was 19 she emerged at the Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. It was an impressive feat in many ways, not just because Krauss was young, as well because I've Got That Old Feeling was the 3rd album in her album collection. Too Late to Cry was her first release, and was made available around the Champaign Illinois resident's age of 16. Her contract was already in place to Rounder Records, one of the leading folk labels in the age group of 14. Krauss's achievements at such a young age, and as well as her virtuosity, has been consistently supported by her ability to kept her commitment to bluegrass music - one of the country's oldest and least appreciated musical genres. Krauss was now maturing from a teen phenom into a professional music producer and musician. Alison Alison Alison
